Misc. Lettering – Geek
December 2010
Custom typography word design first drawn to be printed on a cotton tote bag for a present. I was aiming for a casual, friendly and bold brush script, payingn particular attention to the stroke terminals. As it was to be printed on fabric, I kept the lines relatively simple and gave the strokes quite a heavy weight.
See photos of the final product in the print section.
Tauromachie

Part of an unused proposal for the visual of an upcoming art exhibition in Prague. On the theme of bullfighting, the aim was something original, dynamic, aggressive, strong, 'bloody', full of tension, recognisable, etc. I integrated bull horns directly into the lettering and used sharp points and angles to keep the overall style strong and energetic (the arrangement of 'ie' - 'y' at the end allows for language spelling variations).

Custom typography script originally part of a logo proposal. The goal was something stylish, elegant and organic. Quality and care are conveyed through the use of subtle typographic elements like the extending 'l' and the 'r-y' ligature, which also add memorable details.

Custom typography in a friendly and casual style suited to the concept. The goal was a light hearted, soft look without veering into the typical style of many handwriting-based fonts.
Design selected as the LogoGala weekly featured logo with design process interview. Also featured on the Creattica gallery.

Typographic drawings for a original comic collector's website. The goal was to create some vintage-style illustrations featuring the names of some comic series. Pencil drawings, scanned.

September 2010
Self-initiated logo design. I wanted to create something elaborate, highly decorative and slightly unusual that would be evocative of the word itself. The heavy stroke contrast is inspired by the strokes of a broad-nib quill and the curves are intended to be intriguing, but not seem at all forced. Started off from some rough drawings when listening to the Nick Drake song of the same name.
