Custom type logo for an upcoming website. The client was looking for something modern, clean and inviting to compliment a bold and trendy website style.
I started off sketching some sans serif lettering in order to explore possible solutions. The approach I went for was a bold, chunky italic sans serif to looks playful but professional and also quite distinctive but accessible at the same time. The old style numerals add a quirky touch while the softly rounded corners ensure the overall feel is friendly and modern.
The full final logo incorporates a 'Q' that doubles as a question mark. Drawn in the same style and on the same slant as the letters, the aim is that it is equally identifiable as both characters. The dot is the same as the one on the 'i' and the use of colour highlights this continuity.
