Typography wall print

Close up of final wall print featuring a quote from George Orwell's 1984 that I discussed near the end of the book. I also displayed added typographic annotations hand drawn directly on the wall.

Degree show – Canterbury

May 2005

Foundation degree show in Canterbury, UK. Final project was based on creating typographical representations of scenes of human interactions: communicating the visual form of speech, body language, etc.

It featured a series of 5 large format photographs taken in Paris and manually developped in a darkroom. Matching typographical translations featured a combination of custom hand drawn type and existing typefaces. Printed on canvas.

Bridge

April 2005

Close up of one of the final photographs showing a bridge on the river Seine. The idea was to look at postures, body language, interaction between people, etc.

Artists book fair

March 2006

Limited run of 'Contradiction' typographic screenprinted booklet sold at the 9th International Contemporary Artists Book Fair held at the Dean Clough galleries in Halifax, UK.
