Logo design for a renovated traditional wooden sailboat. Moored in a town on the western coast of France, it had recently been awarded a 'National Heritage' certificate and is used by a group of volunteers to introduce people to the sea and sailing.
The goal was a logotype that reflected the distinctive social and historical characteristics of the boat. I used hand drawn custom typography to create a classically-inspired design with a modern feel, appropriate to the subject. The overall strong & clean style allows it to work well in a range of sizes and on different materials.
Logo won Logo of the Day on Logo From Dreams Awards and was also selected as weekly featured logo along with an interview on LogoGala. It's also featured on various logo design articles including '30 Amazing Logos with Smart Typography' on the Dzine Blog and 'Logos basés sur la typographie' on 4w.fr web agency.
